Jo Wade

Jo was born in Manchester, studied and lived in Stoke on Trent and is now settled with her family in Stratford Upon Avon. Her training is in Fine art painting, for which she holds an MA. Since her graduation she has exhibited widely both as a solo artist and within a group.

Mostly she works with oils and mixed media on cardboard, paper and canvas. Recently she has rediscovered etching, so now she prints a little too.She likes to be experimental in her approach; enjoying mark making, printing and the incidental. As well as continually aiming to be developing her thoughts and ideas.

Her work reflects on the saying, ‘Time and tide wait for no man.’

This body of work uses the rhythms of the tide to mirror the momentum of time and its transience.
