Hidden Cottage by Paul Evans – Signed Limited Edition

Paul Evans has gained widespread recognition for his unique watercolours, acrylics, and etchings, which are influenced by the landscapes and coastlines of East Anglia, the Sussex Downland, the Kent Weald, and the rugged coastal and moorland areas of Cornwall.

Paul’s painting conveys a deep sense of place by exploring only a few locations throughout the year in great detail. Paul Evans continuously engages in experimentation with techniques and materials, continuously seeking novel methods of capturing the shifting light and seasons in his artwork.

Paul Evans attended Eastbourne College of Art and Design from 1972 to 1976, where he studied illustration and printmaking. Since graduating, he has been fortunate to support himself solely through his painting. He began exhibiting his artwork at the Ralph Lewis Gallery in Brighton’s Lanes, and immediately began selling all the paintings he was able to create.

Since 1976, Paul Evans has held approximately 75 solo exhibitions and participated in several group shows, often attracting large numbers of collectors and frequently selling out soon after the opening. Work has been purchased globally by collectors and buyers in countries such as America, Japan, Australia, and Europe, as well as by a dedicated following closer to home.

About The Artist

Paul Evans is one of the leading Landscape Painters working today. Paul Evans is widely known for his highly individual watercolours, acrylics and etchings inspired by East Anglia’s landscape and coast, Sussex Downland, the Kent Weald and Cornwall’s rugged coast and moorland.

Paul’s painting explores only a few locations in detail through all times of the year to convey a deep sense of place. Paul Evans constantly experiments with techniques and materials – finding new ways to reflect the changing light and seasons in his work.

Paul Evans studied illustration and printmaking for four years between 1972 and 1976 at Eastbourne College of Art and Design, and has been fortunate to make his living solely from his painting since graduating. He started to show his work at the Ralph Lewis Gallery in Brighton’s Lanes, and immediately started to sell everything that he could paint.

Since 1976 Paul Evans has had some 75 solo Exhibitions and numerous group shows, usually attended by large numbers of collectors, quite often selling out within hours of the opening.

Work has been bought by collectors and buyers worldwide – America, Japan, Australia and Europe – as well as by a large and loyal following closer to home.
