Made In England.
Alison lives in beautiful Warwickshire and has her studio in Coventry. Her work is both Vibrant and Atmospheric , with the power to express light and water in such stunningly accurate detail. Being able to show through abstract surrealism the natural world and by bringing a modern contemporariness, she has emerged as one of Britain’s most revered artists in her field and can be affectionately compared to the great old masters , such as Turner….What a credit that is.
In her seascapes, she is able to capture the long held tradition of moody sea swells and brooding skies, through the sweeping colours of the intensely deep and dark waters below the surface.
Alison’s ability to give an impression that there is a shape or a figure amongst the atmospheric sea and skies, is only dimmed by the feeling of an ever moving space and the world around you. Such is the feeling and atmosphere within her works, they can be seen as pure abstract which emanates luminescent and radiant beauty. The ability to show that movement through colour, light and balance is Alison’s crowning glory , which allows her to be the wonderfully accomplished artist she is today.
With her enormous talent in being a modern day impressionist artist, she has been able to exhibit in many esteemed venues within the UK , Paris and Italy, soon to show in the Middle east….elevating her status ever more upon the international stage.
About The Artist
With a growing reputation amongst collectors for her atmospheric oil paintings, Alisons work is both vibrant and seductive, conveying deep and often inexpressible feelings beneath the surface. Alison is able to express the power of light against raw elements and in doing so invites you to see a surreal side to the natural world.
Alison’s atmospheric oil paintings are vibrant and seductive and focal points for any space. By expressing the power of light playing amongst the water drops, this artist shows the abstract, surreal side to the natural world. Her seascapes follow a deep tradition which Alison modernises and brings to a contemporary forefront. Colours sink below a piercing white surface as oceans and landscapes drift in and out of a sweeping hazy mist. The sky appears deep and brooding, the colours revealing a darkness that battles with the flashes of light. When shapes and figures do reveal themselves they appear lost and fragile against the infinite space of the world around. Such is the atmosphere contained in these works they could easily be viewed as pure abstractions, each detail vital enough to stand alone. Ephemeral, warm powerful and evocative she creates a sense of movement through colour, light and balance.
The delicate handling of the world Alison depicts around her has the power to not only move the viewer but to make a lasting impression. With a nod to the impressionist painters her work has been likened to the great masters of our time such as Turner. Such high acclaim has guaranteed her many exhibitions within the UK, Italy and Paris and is soon to exhibit in the Middle East. Her work continues to reach clients on an international scale.
