Heather Howe grew up on the Lizard Peninsula near Cadgwith. After school she completed a Foundation year and a B.A in Fine Art at Falmouth School of Art and Exeter University. After leaving art school Heather worked as a practising artist in the South East of the U.K having one of her first solo shows at the Century Galleries in Henley-on-Thames at the age of 22. Her career has been very diverse in the subsequent years including commercial design work, private commissions and exhibitions throughout the U.K and overseas.

Heather has always had a strong emotional connection to the landscape and changing weather and strives to communicate this in her work. This feeling of engagement with her subject obviously translates to many people as her work continues to be much sought after by collectors.

About The Artist

Heather Howe grew up on the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall, this had a huge influence on her artistic style and has helped her develop as a professional artist known for her scenes of summer warmth and quintessential rural landscapes.

A trained artist whose first solo show was at the tender age of just 22, her career has continued to blossom taking on private commissions and exhibitions throughout the U.K and overseas. Heather’s strong emotional connection to the landscape and changing weather can be seen in her work which continues to be sought after by collectors today.

Heathers work transports the viewer through winding country lanes, traversing open countryside filled with heady floral abundance, reminiscent of days gone by.

Delivery & Returns

We understand how uncertain it can be when deciding to purchase a piece of art online. That’s why we have a commitment to making it as easy as possible with a non-quibble & simple delivery and returns policy to help give you complete peace of mind. Delivery in the UK

All UK orders include FREE DELIVERY and are despatched fully insured against damage in transit. Your artwork will arrive in sturdy cardboard packaging on a next day courier service that operates Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5.30pm.

We aim to deliver unframed orders within 7 working days, stock permitting. If we are out of stock of your item, we will contact you immediately. Please allow up to 14 days for framed orders to arrive with you.

When we despatch your order, we will send you an email the day before. Don’t worry if you’re not in to receive it, our friendly couriers will leave you a message on how to contact them for re-delivery.

If you have a special delivery date you need us to work to, please get in touch, we will always do our best to accommodate.

Delivery Overseas

All international orders over £800 include FREE DELIVERY. Orders below this value will incur a small delivery charge calculated at checkout. International orders will be delivered to you in sturdy packaging and be fully insured against damage in transit.

We aim to deliver unframed international orders to you within 10 working days, stock permitting. If we are out of stock of your item, we will contact you immediately. Please allow up to 16 days for framed orders.

Returning An Item

If you would like to return your order for any reason, please contact us by email at sales@whitehorsegallery.co.uk explaining your reason for the return. We will then liaise personally with you for a simple and successful return.

We can only process a full refund if the art arrives back to us in a re-saleable condition. The cost of re-packing and returning the item will be your responsibility and we advise you to use a signed for insured courier service as you will still be liable for the cost of the art if it is lost or damaged in transit. Please note that any custom pieces cannot be refunded.

Upon receipt of the returned item in a re-saleable condition, we will process your refund within 2 days of return.
